Favourite UK race: The Tour of the Herts, but sadly it's no more. These days the Lincoln Grand Prix or Nationals (for the atmosphere).

Favourite race to watch: Roubaix, Flanders or Le Tour/Giro

Race would most like to win: Roubaix or Flanders... but would settle for National Masters

Cycling idol: Lemond, Fignon, Yates & 7-11 team were my hero's as a schoolboy/junior, but now any hard as nails Belgian will do.

Favourite training destination: Probably Majorca, however anywhere with sun an mountainous scenery will do, as long as it involves a nice meal and something to drink afterwards!

Training tip: Get a good base first and learn to listen to your body. If you're tired don't go out and batter, just ride your bike!

Random fact: Used to play Kabbadi in the early 90's with Asian work colleagues during my engineering apprenticeship. This may have improved my agility and lung capacity as a cyclist.
